Media and Hollywood have had a long history of telling the story of the Holocaust. Some are better than others, but in the end, how do you depict a genocide properly? The theme of this installation brings transparency as a vehicle that gives the viewer a layered composite of a dark chapter in human history. The viewer will “peel” away the layers of dramatized and exaggerated history to reveal the historical truth. Four books presenting research collected throughout the year accompany this installation. I stress the importance of learning and remembering, so that we may never forget the horrors of this time.
