Artificial intelligence’s rise in the creative industry sparks debates, yet it offers immense potential if utilized wisely. My installation, ‘Mapping Threads,’ visually explores AI’s workings through a neural network, by asking ChatGPT, “Does AI aid or hinder creativity?” Accompanied by a book diving into AI artists like Refik Anadol and Sougwen Chung that use AI as a ‘partner.’ Additionally, I’ve incorporated my own experimentation with AI, producing abstract portraits of my daily life through geotracking. ‘Mapping Threads’ aims to highlight AI’s role in creativity, celebrating its power to enhance artistic expression through a balance of human creativity and technological innovation.
